I remember watching this with my mother when I was younger, but both of us have forgotten a lot about it. (It’s basically one of two show that got me into Sci-fi.) Can someone make me remember?

I don't think I've ever seen it........does anyone know if there are any channels in the States that air it, like PBS or something?

Between 1986-91 public TV stations in NJ, NY and PA were broadcasting Blake's 7 and due to limited response stopped airing it. Every episode is available on BBC Video in the form of two episodes per tape.
For Nolo a brief episode summary of Blake's7:
In the distant future, an oppressive government called the Federation governed the inner and outer worlds with drugged water and food supplies. Roj Blake, the leader of a resistance group, attempted to overthrow them. He failed, got brainwashed to discredit the surviving resisters, and became a "model citizen."
After a friend talks him into entering a secret meeting of resistance fighters, history repeats itself and he again gets caught up in a firefight, this time jarring his true memories.
Not taking any chances, evil government types frame him with child molestation charges. Blake's idealistic attorney eventually believes him and attempts to clear him while he meets Vila, a thief, and Jenna, a smuggler, in a holding cell. The attorney gets killed, Blake gets shipped to a prison planet on a spaceship where he meets Avon, a computer hacker, and Gan, a labourer who killed a guard who killed Gan's wife.
After a failed takeover of the ship, an alien vessel is encountered. The prison guards sent to board her didn't report, so Blake, Avon, and Jenna are forced to board. Blake overcomes an automatic defense system, takes over the ship, calls it Liberator symbolically, and get Vila & Gan away from the prison planet.
They meet Cally, a humanoid telepath from Auron, on a sabotage mission.
Supreme Commander Servalan is ordered to capture & destroy Blake.
Servalan assigns the psychotic Space Commander Travis to do the job.
Gan dies in a failed attempt to locate the main communication station.
When they find Star One, Travis gets killed and Blake gets injured.
In season 3, Blake & Jenna disappear and are replaced by Dayna & Tarrant.
Cally dies in the 1st ep of season 4 and is replaced by Soolin.
At the end of the series, Blake comes back, gets killed by a paranoid Avon, and everyone is dead or injured except Avon who shoots the rifle he killed Blake with and fades off camera.
Well, whadja think?

I think I pretty remember the first episode the best, and I also think I did not get to see the last season.
Now what about the quotes I asked you about in an other thread?
Do you have a account of every episode?

Open letter to Nolo: No, dear lady. I don't have an actual account of every quote at this time. That would require more time than I can literally afford! No, as I said, I made that number up. I would have to search for the episode that Vila said that line in but I can set up an approximation of the scene for you: Dayna, daughter of Hal Melanby, a weapons engineer turned failed revolutionary who was murdered by Servalan, was in a bossy mood and she gave an order to Vila to perform some unremembered(by me, that is) task and Vila, being the sarcastic but charming whiner that he is, said, "What did your last slave die of?" meaning "What am I, your manservant?" Since Christina casually referred to the man in her life as her "love slave" I just took an obscure reference from B7 to see if she remembered its source and to serve as a tongue-in-cheek way to tell her that I didn't appreciate being used as a villain to make her look good, even in fun, and I was sure that her "love slave" wouldn't either if he were in my place, hence the quote. Sorry, I didn't mean to drag this lame attempt at humour out as far as I did, it's just that I was getting tired of being blamed for going "off topic" in discussion threads that I thought were just a pleasant free-flowing exchange of ideas. If I wanted rigid structure 24/7 I'd have three jobs and a limited sleep period with no internet access. Of course, I wouldn't have the pleasure of your company and that would be a cause for much sadness on my part. If you want to keep this thread active despite my stupid temper tantrum on the other thread, I'll try to keep it as fun and "on topic" as possible. I try not to break promises, especially to pretty girls!

Thank you Elric I do remember the source, but not the episode title at the moment. I expect if I went to Horizon I'd get all the B7 info I wanted. That's where Paul Darrow finds out what his old pals are up to while he trys to organise the next B7 TV movie! ;D

Chrissie love, don't you mean the first Blake's 7 movie or was there an actual B7 TV movie of which I was completely unaware?

Semantics, dearest.
As it hasn't happened it's going to be next. Well, eventually, maybe. okay, point taken.
Incidentally, do you think this contraction of my name is more in keeping with how I come across on this board, or would you rather I went back to the full, formal version?

You know me Elric if I se something I cant make sense I have to ask. The quote by number is a neat idea. Am sort of out here fishing you see, I need someone to write a summary for Black 7 for this page I have plans for (lots of plans, no time). But thanks to Chrissie's link I’ll be heading over there. Was there not a teleportation (sp?) devise in Black 7, I remember something about bracelet. Incidentally, do you think this contraction of my name is more in keeping with how I come across on this board, or would you rather I went back to the full, formal version? You'll always be Christina, now stop confusing me I'm in the middle of getting to remember your new name.

Nolo, I would be honored to do a summary of B7 in any format you wish. I only hope that the Horizon link won't make me "obsolete" in your eyes, that's all. Yes, they did indeed have teleport bracelets onboard the Liberator. In Spacefall, we learned that Blake and Avon, without knowing it at the time, were working on a secret project in their respective fields that involved teleportation using a rare element. It was a failure. The discovery and usage of the bracelets stored in Liberator was a fortuitous experiment for Blake: Jenna: What was it like? Blake: It's like having an object in your pocket when Vila's around. One minute it's there, the next minute it's somewhere else. In Cygnus Alpha, we find out that they're easily breakable and if you teleport into space wearing one of them you'll explode! In season 4 episode Rescue, after Liberator is destroyed, mad-scientist Dorian reveals that he too has unlocked the secret of teleportation, so after he died, the surviving crew used the teleport system onboard Scorpio until the end of the series. Incidentally, do you think this contraction of my name is more in keeping with how I come across on this board, or would you rather I went back to the full, formal version? Two things I've learned not to critise in regards to women: 1. The way they dress. 2. The name they'll answer to. If you change your name to Christiana Throat-Warbler Mangrove I'll call you that if you like. Whatever makes you happy, my dear.

Sorry to drag up an old thread. I can't believe people still remember Blake's 7! That used to be my favorite sci-fi show (after TOS of course .) I haven't been able to find an episode of that show since I first saw it in the late '80s. The Liberator used to be my favorite starship. I thought she looked sweeet. I was very disappointed when she was destroyed and they replaced her with that piece of crap, the Scorpio.

UK Gold (bless it) still runs though the episodes at a weekend, along with Doctor Who.
But of course, as I have the videos.............

^^^Exactly, Preator-X, or Santa-X. BBC Video has all 52 episodes for sale on a two episodes per tape format on both sides of the Atlantic. Christina was kind enough to post a link to Horizon, a UK B7 fan club, that could have info listed on how to obtain them there and you could either check with Borders Books, Barnes & Noble, Suncoast Video, their websites or Amazon.com to order or buy them here!
I taped several eps when they were aired on my local Public TV station and a friend of mine taped the final ep "Blake" off of BBC1 when it aired and converted his copy to VHS from PAL.
Good hunting, one and all.
