^^^You mean the ones she wore while walking in rock quarries? Loved those scenes! When she was asked how she managed that neat trick, she said two words: ballet training. Take note, ladies.

^ Oh, that's hilarious! ;D Did she say that in an interview?
Funny how Dr Who and Blake's 7 scenes always took place in a rock quarry!
I actually remember a prop they used in Blake's 7, the silver stair case at Dayna's house, was used in a background scene in a Dr. Who ep, I think the one with Teegan and the snake thing on her arm.

^^^When I heard it, she was at a B7 fan run convention in Chicago during a panel Q&A. I think the fans give more penetrating questions to actors of SFTV shows than uninformed journalists with note pads, don't you? When I was Paul Darrow's guest escort ages back, I wrote prompt questions for interviewers that resulted in stimulating exchanges that most of the reporters expressed gratitude to me for creating. It's interesting that most sportscasters know their subject when they go out into the field but that doesn't translate well with other journalists in fields like ours. I believe the ep you're referring to is "Snake Dance." Coincidence department: Brian Miller, who played the barker at the Hall of Mirrors exhibit is Elisabeth Sladen's(Sarah Jane Smith) real-life husband! The lucky sod!!!!

Fat, bald, humorless, he had rotten teeth, he couldn't hear in his left ear...you're not buying any of this, are you? As you may have guessed, he was charming and very eloquent and the ladies always formed a circle around him wherever he went at a convention(can't imagine why? ). At an autograph panel, after he read Edgar Allan Poe's "Anabelle Lee"(his favorite poem), a lady said "Paul, you could make the telephone book sound sexy!" I didn't know who I wanted to strangle, her or him? Seriously, he was a gentleman in the truest sense and in the three-year period that I had been in contact with him at conventions, he always treated me like a friend that he'd like to keep in touch with but could never find the time. Sincere and loyal as the day is long with a ready wit and an unusual fondness for off-beat commercials. For instance: (Vincent Price in a shirt, tie & dress slacks with an apron on in a five-star kitchen) Price: How to make an individual fruit pie. First(pulls in a confused nondescript-looking man), find an individual! When I saw that on an International Commercials Special, I thought of Paul and laughed my head off! It was every bit as hilarious as he described it. If prompted, I'll even relay one of his favorite Drunk Richard Burton anecdotes that Paul has told at several convention appearances. I can't remember the name of the other actor that he got drunk with, but that wouldn't affect the quality of the retelling, I promise. But only if you personally request it.

I enjoy good Paul Darrow anecdotes.
Tell, Tell.
Also for Dolhman's quote - Oooh, you lucky dog! You wouldn't happen to have Servalan's 3-inch heels, too, would you?
Three inch? try five inches. No, I stand taller than Jacquie anyway, don't need them. And the rock quarry is Bletchley Quarry, immortalised in the song (to the tune of Lambeth walk)
"Anytime you're Bletchley way Any evening, any day You'll find us all Wiping the Rebels out. Oy!"

For you, Christina, anything:
While on a Shakespeare Tour in Australia, Richard Burton and another actor hit a pub near the theatre between shows and lost track of the time. I don't remember the name of the other actor or the play, but the other actor's part was The Earl of Leicester, if that helps the devoted Shakespeare fans out there. So they rushed to the back of the theatre, got into their costumes, and Burton came out first("Ah! My wife!"). While he was struggling with his performance, an audience member yelled, "Get off the stage, you're drunk!"(Paul explained that the Aussies are very candid regarding their likes and dislikes publicly, even during perfomances!) Burton ignored the guy and continued his performance. Then, five minutes later, the anonymous heckler said again "Get off the stage! You're drunk!" Burton then stops, walks to the front of the stage and looks in the heckler's direction and said, "If you think I'm drunk, wait until you see the Earl of Leicester!"

You'd probably recognize the name of the other actor if I knew what it was. Paul has told this story for years and you might have heard him tell it if you saw him.
I can give a rundown of other B7 people, if I met them that is, upon requests.

This thread is like Hammer Films' Dracula series! Just when you thought it was the end, it keeps reviving itself! Not that I mind, it's just that I'm used to seeing new threads being created with no rememberance of earlier ones covering the same subjects.
Blake's 7 on DVD: file under "What took them so long?"

I had met Ms. Pearce twice. Once 17 years ago at an organised fan-con breakfast with several fans dining with us, two of them dressed as Androgums from "The Two Doctors," and another time at an autograph line about two years later.
She was nice but fairly reserved both times. Perhaps she's one of those people who are particular about who they socialize with and can liven up a party when she's among friends but can be aloof and reserved when she's among strangers. Who knows?
She did fire off a few light-hearted but off-color comments during Q&A panels at several cons that I've seen her attend but I got the impression that she was doing it to appear personable, not because she was really at ease. Maybe I'm being unfair and biased, but that's how she came off to me.
