As a sentimentalist and an admitted DOM, I have to say the "skorts."
Only Emma Peel managed to look hot in catsuits IMO(not to mention whalebone corsets and spiked heels, but that's another story).
While the catsuits are more "revealing" in some respects, there's a great deal to be said about true active wear. When was the last time Seven or T'Pol did a high kick in an enemy's face?

I say scrap the catsuits and miniskirts and put them all in uniforms. That way, they would blend into the rest of the crew better.

to Elric - "A Touch of Brimstone" Those images should keep him happy for a while. Back to Qab's original post - the 'designer' dresses held on with will-power and double-sided tape. Well, some things don't change, do they. Such items demand the wearer to carry themselves well and maintain good posture, which then makes you feel good and look good. And attract the attention of those around you. Great for special occasions, but I wouldn't want to be the 'Venus Drug' woman in the blooper reel who had to keep tugging part of the bodice back into place while Bill Shatner kept laughing.........

The high heels aren't a fashion statement! They're militaristic! It shows how physically evolved females have become, they're able to fight in those shoes (and they got some painfully points ends on those things). See, it's PRAISE of women.... now move out of the way... Seven's just about to come on a PRAISE women's ability to have a 5 inch waist...

I say scrap the catsuits and miniskirts. Ah... the power of paraphrasing. Cheers! (Motions to high five Peter. Peter notices the major posters in this thread... Ana, Chakotay, Dohlman, and Christina... He walks away from me slowly and confidently.)

HEY! What about me?
*Elric sits in the corner, grumbling about being left out of another social club*
I agree that attacking a topic doesn't add to the conversation so much as belittle it. If Chakotay saw the first two Trek pilots, she would have known that Roddenberry tried that but the suits literally didn't buy it!
Repeat after me: THIS WAS THE 1960's!

One of the things that cracks me up is that Nichelle Nichols has been quoted as saying that she and her female co-stars actually used to hike the mini-skirts UP to show more leg! They looked good and they knew it! Actually, if I were in Starfleet I'd rather wear a catsuit than a mini-skirt. I guess I just want more of me covered even if it was skin-tight. I'd feel more protected. The problem is, they haven't yet invented a cloth that would suck in this lumpy-bumpy body and make it look like a Barbie doll's.

You know, as "enlightened" as they are in the future, one wonders why they bother with uniforms -- at least in civilian or benign situations -- at all... (This ought to make things interesting around here... 8) )

Zeph, I have yet to meet a lady who was completely happy with the shape she's in. Just quietly look away and change the subject, that's my response. I just meant that the Unisex look is a beautiful theory, but it's extremely impractical. Men and women are built differently and that's that. And as the French would say "Vive la difference!!!! "

Oh Peter does not think it is rude to go nude? ;D If everyone was ' au natural it'd be rude to cover up. Mind, we women might have a hard time not laughing at the men trying to suck in their guts as we walk past............. and the men would just have a h.......... oops, nearly said it! ;D
