I dunno. Kirk, Picard and Sisko are all good.

Althought I'm always having a small problem with the "best something" concept...
*casts vote for the Bald One*
The one I like the best.

This question is so much harder than it was when it was simply Kirk vs Picard. So, I'll cheat a little and say: Anyone as long as it's not Kirk or Janeway.

Tough choice... Any of them... all of them, they were all pretty good I suppose...
EDIT: I just realized I had called all of them pretty food. In my opinion(being male) neither of them were all that beautiful and I wouldn't want to eat one, for sure.

While they all have the traits required for being a leader, I preferred Sisko. He was such a great multi faceted and 3 dimensional character.

After watching the latest Enterprise episode, I think I'd have to go with Archer. He seems to be the kind of captain (boss) who is your friend and that you can sit and joke around with. Perhaps not the kind of person I'd want to put my life in his hands, though.

If I was going to be under anyone in the situations that these guys were in, I would want that person to be Picard.
Picard had the strongest leadership qualities of all the other commanders and had a confident and assured manner that would inspire anyone serving under him. While the other leaders always seemed to lean on other members of the senior staff, Picard could operate almost exclusively on his own, as he always seemed to be in control of the situation.

The best captain is Picard. Not only do I like the character alot, I feel like he really had all of his crew backing him. He is a good leader.

They all have their strengths and weaknesses...but don't worry, I'm not going to write an essay about it. The Star Trek captain whose leadership style I admire the most is Sisko. The captain whose relational style I'd most like to emulate is Archer. The captain whose tenacity and sense of humor I appreciate most is Kirk. I admire Janeway's protectiveness and Picard's intellect.

Oh gosh.
Jean-Luc I guess, with James Tomcat coming a close second.

I'll go for Picard, with Sisko as a close second. I don't watch Enterprise so I can't say anything about Archer, though. EDIT: I just realized I had called all of them pretty food. lol

Ok, i'm going to be weird here and say
Captain Sulu!
The daring of Kirk, the intelligence of Picard, the loyalty of Sisko, the rule-bending of Janeway, and the flexibility of Archer all rolled into one.
"Fly her apart then!" -- Wow, what a line! ;D
