...which would it be...? Sure, this is perhaps a thread that has been done to death, but not here... Personally, for me, the further into the future the better... Kirk's Enterprise and Federation has its attractions, but I'd much prefer to live in the late 24 th century...

I'll admit. I'm lazy. I'd take 24th century any day. perform traveling theartre to starships (like in Consciense of the King)

I've given this one a good bit of thought today, and I've come to the conclusion that I'd be most comfortable in the Enterprise timeframe. As a former military officer, I think I'd adjust to the "Earth Starfleet" hierarchy more smoothly...and I'm assuming that spirituality is more accepted in that time as well, given that it's closest to today and prior to the pseudo-enlightenment that seems to characterize the post-TOS era.

2371 -2377 on Voyager.................
So what else did you expect me to say? ;D
no, actually, the earlier ones might be better, easier to relate to. If not TOS then maybe Ent.

Well, I'd be tempted to say that the late 24th Century would be the best, since they had all that technology to make my life easier. But Earth seemed to be under almost constant threat in that time frame. The Borg threat reached Earth twice. The fear, and martial law, surrounding the threat that the Changelings posed, and an attempted coup de'tat. Not to mention the Dominion War, and the Breen attack on Earth. So, I guess I'd have to go with the Enterprise time frame, when we've realized that there is other life out there, and we've started going out and encountering more of it.

Enterprise, definately Enterprise. On a transport ship exploring the stars, just being a true space boomer.

I'd go for the DS9 timeframe, during and after the dominion war, Im not sure why but it appeals to me and DS9 is my fav series. I'd love to see what happens to Cardassia after the war and how the Federation re-builds itself and what treaties are created.
