Whilst browsing at startrek.com, I noticed a character in DS9 'The Circle' called Admiral Chekote.
Hmm. Very similar to my beloved Chakotay...
Anyone noticed any others?

^I think the same admiral was being referred to in an unidentified Next Gen episode, too...

T'Pau, the lady that officiated Spock's wedding, was also the name of the Vulcan ship that was stolen from a Starfleet shipyard in "Reunion Part I." Some fans believe that there's a similarity between her name and Subcommander T'Pol but I think that's a major stretch!

I think it's reasonable to name a ship after an esteemed icon of Vulcan society. And a pop group too. ;D

Actually, on the original casting call for Enterprise, the female Vulcan's name was T'Pau, and there was some speculation that she was the same T'Pau from "Amok Time." Given canon information on Vulcan life expectancy, I'm not sure if this is possible, but I bet there's some Alpha Geek around here who knows the rest of the story... ;D

Dunno, but wasn't that überkühl ambassador-turning-out-to-be-Romulan-spy in Data's Day also named T'Pel...

Geek? Did someone call for a Geek!
That's me!
Yes, the character WAS orignally to be T'Pau, HOWEVER...
They'd have to pay Theodore Sturgeon since he wrote Amok Time.

I know this isn't quite what you meant, but there's a tribe in Blake's 7 called the Seska.
