I got this post that I made at the trek bbs & put it here!!!

Made by The Great Meech a long long time ago & ad-libed a bit by 5Apri2063 First Contact:
Here is the info y'all need to write episodes of Star Trek: Hephaestus
Series Info:
It's going to be called Star Trek: Hephaestus
It's going to be a prose series, divided into seasons (five of them).
It would more be about the politics of the time, rather than taking on funky space creatures (not saying we can't have funky space creatures, just not a lot of them).
I want this to be a collaboration project, I don't have the time to carry it alone. Anyone interested?
Time Period:
During Kirks 5-Year Mission
Character Profiles:
Captain Amy St. John: The captain. Peaceful. Will not use the weapons until every diplomatic or scientific option is tried. A diplomat. Forty years old.
Lieutenant-Commander Rose Jamison: The science officer. Generally a bit nervous, sometimes even a bit paranoid. Always manages to come up with unorthodox (and very useful) remedies to problems. Thirty-three.
Lieutanant Kelet: A Klyzm man. The Klyzm are a very thoughtful and religious species, but have some very violent rituals and tendencies. The helmsman.
Ensign Caleen: Female communications officer. A member of a race known as the Vinson, a backwater Federation world. The race is known by it's striking silver hair (we had to have someone with cool hair). Popular among the male members of the crew. She can barely see past her uniform (Note: I'm using that metaphorically, she has good eyesight).
Lt.Commander Alan Cane: Navigator/Weapons officer/XO. Confrontational yet friendly. Motto is "If you can't beat 'em, try anyway".
Lieutenant Joseph Albuquerque: Chief Engineer. Serious about his work, hates Vulcans, speaks with a Mexican accent.
Nurse Kourtney MacLeod: Brilliant Nurse. At first she thought that she would get to be the Doctor, but she was bumped down to nurse . Always happy and uplifting. Respected by the entire crew.(Note: she is not related to Duncan MadLeod From Highlander)
