The picture is excellent, Doc, and I'm currently perusing the rest of the site and enjoying it immensely. I'd love to have your talent!

Join the club! I can create graphics that I think look really good on the computer.. I can paint and I can draw. I also have about 100 poems I have written.. but no way to make money off them at this point. ;(
Your illustration was wonderful btw- how long did it take you to draw? Did you draw it on paper and scan? I want one of those pen mice.. well kinda I have heard so many bad things about them!

Ditto. I drew with pencil on paper (you can see the construction lines of the body faintly) in about an hr. Then I scanned it. Thanks for the compliment.

I've drawn and scanned before too.. but I have a tendency to draw best on the worst paper (note book paper..hahaha) It looked drawn and scanned but you cant be too sure. I have seen people do amazing art work and illustrations with a normal mouse that I cant even draw with a pencil or pen

They've done something and scanned it, then enhanced. Or ripped someone else off who drew and scanned.

No- I have seen it done. Actually it was an ex of mine who does graphics for a company that produces computer games! This is with a mouse.. not a stylus either. He's just that good.. I suppose that is why he is doing what he is and getting paid good money for it too!

Re outlining - which is what he must be doing: contour line work - if it's a regular mouse, then it must be a very very very expensive one. Computer games for the most part use scans and coordinates, so it would be interesting to see exactly what they need someone to draw from scratch with a mouse for. In the Aventura sim, I made another EMH Mark I character which Mark Zimmerman meets at a starbase. I made up his story as I wrote it, but I think some day I might want to write something along the lines of Morval's history in the dilithium mines. I think it would make a cool novel. I wonder how I can arrange to make my scenario canon? See? If I knew how to market myself...

Well yes, he doesnt do crosshatching but he does actually just draw and create things with his normal mouse. I've seen him start on an illustration (simple outlines) and move on to adding color etc. I hate to say this, but it is possible to do without a very expensive mouse- I think it just requires a heck of a lot of talent. I certainly cant even hand draw as well as him (its like comparing fire and ice)! He does a lot of the models they use and animates as well. (seen that too) Its all a very interesting thing to watch!

To where? I think it's where it needs to be.. in fan art. If nothing it has turned into an art discussion..

If that were so, I could do it. My mouse doesn't allow me the dexterity his obviously allows him.
