^^^I'll have to hunt down the video that featured Dame Edith in that role. Several years ago, I saw an episode of "Are You Being Served?" and John Inman's character was disguised as an MP's wife and he used that line. I wondered why that sounded familiar. I'll also search for the Paxman book at B&N or Amazon.com. It sounds entertaining as well as educational, my second favorite pair.

I really don't know... It just seems a little sterile, and perhaps over reliant on CGI... ;D My thoughts exactly. The previews look like great feats of CGI, but that exactly what it looks like. CGI. GREAT directors are those that use CGI without you noticing (Bob Zememick's comes to mind #1) I have heard pure hell about this movie, but I've also heard it a backlash for the fact that most critics followed the crowds on EP 1 and ignored all problems until they'd seen it once or twice. So they are being EXTRA hard on this one. Also, as the middle movie, it's compared to Empire (by far the more successful movie of the trilogy as far as most critics are concerned, including myself) Will the movie make a ton of money? Yes, but that is no measurment of quality. Just look at the top money makers of all time: Titanic, Jurrasic Park, How the Grinch Stole Christmas... However, after looking, many many of those big winners ARE quality (Forrest Gump, Sixth Sense, Lion King, Shrek, Jaws, Toy Story 2, Batman, Raiders, Ghostbusters...) Well, After the Scorpion King made as much as it did, I rest my cae.

Hey! I liked Titanic and Jurassic Park... But then I'm also a fan of ST:V, and in many peoples' minds, that makes me pure evil...

It's official. I've seen it--purely in a professional sense mind you, making sure that it was pieced together properly so that we don't have to worry about the film turning upside down anywhere through it, and the sound lines up and all.
<dances around you all> I've seen it and you haven't. Now, should I tell you about it or just tease you?

<dances around you all> I've seen it and you haven't. Now, should I tell you about it or just tease you? If you don't mind, I'd prefer it if you posted it in a thread with about one million spoiler warnings... I want to see it first...

Well what fun is it to see a movie 48 hours before the general public if it doesn't bother you that I've seen it?

Not everyone is looking forward to SW. Importance sounds good, with Colin Firth. So who's playing Lady Bracknell, FC? Didn't they say?... Dame Judi ("As Time Goes By") Dench is playing Lady Bracknell. If she's as memorable in that role as she has been playing Queen Elizabeth I in "Shakespeare in Love" and Queen Victoria in "Mrs. Brown," that alone would make it worth the trip to Princeton to see it!
