Of course let us not forget the stress of having a husband too..... that ought to count for something!

What they don't tell you is that it's twice that for each girl for fathers. I swear my 4-year old daughter sits up at night thinking of ways to torture her poor daddy. ;D

Would that be the link that my original post consist of...? Actually, it would. I found it right after I posted my message. But I was still confused after reading the article. I thought it said near the beginning that they found no evidence that having children shortened the mothers life, and then said that having boys did shorten the life due to the stress of having boys. I could pick to pieces the argument that the stress of having boys around the house is the reason why someone's lifespan would be shortened, but I'm operating on 3 1/2 hours sleep this morning and am having trouble following my own train of thought let alone anyone elses.

I have an old phrase that others usually pick up on pretty quickly.
As our 4.5 and 1.5 year old boys were running circles around the family, someone commented on the fact that we had a THIRD boy coming.
My answer?
Betting a 5 year old boy than a 14 year old girl.
Here's an impression for you. Boys BANG "What was that boys?" (in unison) "We broke you lamp!" Then you punish them and are out a lamp.
Girls BANG "What was that girls?" (in unison) "Nothing, Daddy." You run upstairs to find... nothing. Not a thing is broken.. that you can see. In fact, you never DO find out what happened up there.. if you're lucky. Girls go unpunished.
The other is that a boy will walk, hungover, through the front door, waking you up. You'll never even know that you daughter was gone in the first place.
At LEAST when boy get in trouble, you catch them and they take their punishment (with pride) Girls never let you know in the first place.
