Mission premise: 2381. We're shuttling around a goodwill troup consisting of species and races contrary to the Federation. Their goal is to allay the apprehension and stigma of their races. They hope eventually their actions make the Federation and their peoples amenable to form alliances.
Naturally, this means several species will be after us as well, so we have the additional burden of keeping them safe and keeping us in one piece.
There are several openings. Right now we're just interested in filling department heads, who will establish NPCs under their command. When the sim becomes more interactive and gets past its bumpy start, it's possible more positions will open up.
The previous former recruits missed the part about having to post. We're already into the story, but we still need writers for the following positions:
OPs You monitor ship's maintenance, handle communications and scans... As Chief of Operations, you may have a group of NPC or Non-Player Characters (aka imaginary) working under you to send on repair assignments, etc. In time, once the sim is up to speed, the possibility of adding players for those positions may come along.
Engineering an underrated position. There may be many adventures for you and your NPC team to maintain: the conduits. the plasma relays, the Bioneural Gelpacks... In the hands of a creative mind, this can be a worthwhile position.
Security/Tactical Not only will you protect the ship and its crew, you protect its controversial guests. You coordinate with planetside law enforcement to see to the safety of the concertgoers and performers.
Those who have visited my website I, Holodoc know that the USS Aventura also continues the adventures of Voyager's Doctor on an alternate timeline from a previous sim. He's in a Spocklike arrangement, doubling as XO and CMO.
Prospective players should fit the following:
These demanding parameters ensure this is a quality project (Like Simulated Star Trek Voyager). Attention to canon is integral.
Please E-mail holodocdr@NOSPAMyahoo.com if you're interested, removing NOSPAM from the address. If you don't hear from me within 24 hrs, assume I didn't receive the Email. Do NOT join the group. Accepted writers will be invited.
The sim's entries thus far can be viewed on the USS Aventura page in Yahoo Groups.
Thanks much,
Holodoc

Prospective players should fit the following:
- You have material you can send me a URL of so that I can see your writing expertise.
- You're over 20. Sorry, but I've found some constants in lack of commitment and unreliability with those below that age. Even though it's not fullproof, at least the likelihood goes down when employing more mature individuals.
- You'll post with reasonable frequency. For some reason, my first recruited engineer didn't grasp the fact that he was supposed to participate. Heh.
- No ridiculous mutations like Borg/Vulcan. Definitely no shapeshifters or Q
- You write in third person, past tense.
