Part I aired tonight, and perhaps my first thought was : "Oh, another Doctor kidnap episode where holographic rights are discussed briefly". And perhaps I am right, but at the same time, this is a nicely worked episode. Picardo is good, as always, and it has reintroduced the Hirogen [always an entertaining enemy]. The story is good so far, and there are good moments. The second half looks to be good too. And if you are going to reply, can you put spolier stuff on if it refers to part II or the ending... Pleeese!

Part II aired this evening, and it was certainly entertaining. It certainly was a good overall performance, though perhaps not their best, as the story was a little tired, and the script average.
A nice Janeway/Doctor moment at the end, however.

A decent enough action adventure, although having the rebels as holograms did rather try my patience. I suppose these days you can't show real people as oppressed minorities so the SciFi writers had to come up with this ridiculous notion of Holograms being 'photonic life-forms'. At least Iden got his face metaphorically slapped when he killed the Nuu'bari just to 'liberate' a pair of Barbie-dolls.
And the Doctor murders his brother hologram to get his mobile emitter back. Guess he might qualify for honorary membership of the human race after all. Janeway certainly thought so.

although having the rebels as holograms did rather try my patience. Indeed. Well, don't be too harsh, he actually rescued a trio... That's good work

Heh heh heh...good thing You-Know-Who isn't around to read that... ...of course, my "peacemaker" skills are getting a little rusty these days...
