Human Error was the "Stop whining about never getting anything to do, Beltran" episode. Workforce, I think, IMO, was the 'here you go, Chakotay gets to be the hero. Enjoy' story.

Workforce, I think, IMO, was the 'here you go, Chakotay gets to be the hero. Enjoy' story. I always thought it was the "The EMH finally gets to be the ECH" story. Besides, Shattered was the "Here you go. Chakotay gets to be the hero. Enjoy" story. They sure made a lot of concessions for him in the last season, didn't they? Isn't it interesting that - when you think about it - the one who had the least or least memorable featured episodes was Tom Paris? Even the idiots at startrek.com noticed, and attributed the Doctor's Real Life to Paris on their timeline.

Do you think Janeway and Chakotay would have made a good couple. <snip> realistically i think it would have been GREAT to see them together in "Endgame", Voyager's final episode. Chakotay and Janeway had a lot of chemistry, it seemed that the writers created them in that way on purpose. Possible Endgame spoiler - - - should I have one? Not sure, so here's some space. I admit I haven't read all four pages of this, so I'm just going to reply to the original question, sorry if this goes over old ground. The Chakotay/Seven bits of "Endgame" have me wincing and shouting at the TV. I didn't like that at all. I agree that there was Janeway/Chakotay chemistry. I enjoyed "Resolutions". However, after Seven came onboard, I saw a lot more between Janeway and Seven than I did between Janeway and Chakotay. All personal opinion of course but I think the Admiral has gone back to save Seven for herself.

You're definitely not alone on that one, Romana I know I was sitting there watching, and going "bwah, wha, HUH?" at the fact that such a good portion of the last episode was spent on a relationship that had never existed before then. You know, that's not something I ever bought into. They had a good business relationship, and they were friends, but I never felt it was a romantic chemistry. Of course, aside from perhaps Worf/Dax, I really had to be sold on the relationships the writers DID follow through with on Trek shows. It took me a little while to even think that Paris/Torres was a good match.
