Would anyone like to see a member of the original series cameo in enterprise.... whether as their original charector/ an ancestor or someone compleatly different? Personally I do not like this idea.

No, I wouldn't like that idea either. I would be hesitant to even have an ancestor of any of the Trek characters, period. The only thing that I would accept would be to see an earlier version of Dax, since the symbiont is so long lived, and was alive during the Enterprise time frame (of course, we would not know anything about the fact that the Trill are a symbiotic race), or Guinan who we know has been on Earth at an earlier time (the 1900's or something like that). I may also accept if they have a guest character from TOS that we know is long lived and had been to Earth (weren't there an awful lot of these types of characters in TOS?), but the story shouldn't focus on that person--they should just be there, with only one or two references as to who that person is.

AI is right. Whose ancestors look exactly like their descendants. Note Voyager's 11:59, where Janeway's ancestor was identical to her... Not believeable at all... Guinan on the other hand...

well I'm sure that with make-up and costumes, they could take care of that.

Mmm, she doesn't look that much older...

but bearing in mind she would have to look 250 years younger I think it may look a bit unbelievable.

They can just pretend that El Aurians agre relly slowly. Wasn't she in Futures Arrow. She didn't look too much longer then...

Yeah, El Aurians do age slowly. Guinan looked to be the same age when she was on the Enterprise B in Generations, when she was on Earth in the 1900's, and when she was bartending on the Enterprise D.

Xactly. And Guinan is an interesting and enigmatic charater. Whhopi Goldberg is not some B rate run of the mill star...

However, Guinnen has to travel from Earth, to the Gamma quadrent, get attacked by borg, and get back to the alpha quarent by the time Enterprise B is made (200 years after Enterprise) Not enough time I think.
Now a young Sarek..... (Spock's old man)

Whether we want it or not I expect TPTB will introduce a relative or a charector we know.

Now a young Sarek..... (Spock's old man) ........is most likely not born. Didn't he say he was 100 years old during TOS's run? So he wouldn't be born for approximately 10 years.

One of the best ideas for this kind of cameo is for a series captain (Kirk or Picard for example) to be in a situation and explain how the crew of the Enterprise, back in the days of Warp 5. This is the only way that I would accept a cameo. Any dubious family links or time travel stories would get my back up straight away.

To Andorian Incident, watch "Jouney to Babel." McCoy acknowledges to Sarek that he was over 100 years old and Sarek gives his exact age(don't remember at the moment). Even if he was a child at the time of Enterprise, it could be an amusing little scene that would put a smile on this old Trekker's face Another possibility could be an episode set in Starfleet Academy where one of the 24th century Trek characters could be a cadet studying about a significant event in history and the episode proper could be a Pinteresque "flashback." Not exactly original but what else hasn't been tried already on Trek?
