This just made me notice it's St. Patrick's Day today... *keeps her fingers crossed that none notices the less graceful donkey passage* ...which then led me think of St. Patrick Stewart. What is/are your favourite piece of acting in TNG, not by just PS but everyone involved, including guest stars?
I'll start with a couple of classics...
Picard's emotional rollercoaster ride in Sarek always leaves me breathless. A not-too distant relative to that one is the scene in Deja Q where Q gives Data a belly laugh. Amazing self control from the actors Stewart & Spiner!

Not strictly a series moment, but the performances in FC were excellent from Stewart, Spiner, Woodard, Cromwell and all...
"Jean-Luc! Blow up the d**n ship!"
"Nooo!"
*smash*
And the Moby D*ck [Yes, I know, it'll be censored] and "line must be drawn here" moments are also brilliant.
From the series, I'll have to think a little...

My favorite has always been when Picard admits to Troi that he WAS going to tel Gul... uh... (hold on) Madred that he saw 5 lights.
It showed that he IS human after all (although he also shows us that in two OTHER major episodes... Family (when he breaks down to his brother about his assimilation and, of course, the Inner Light). Watch it again and the LAST time he is asked, you can see in his eyes that he's ready to give it all up. He's just about to crack, when he is saved at the last second.

Say what you want about Lwaxana Troi, but I really think Majel Barrett was brilliant in "Half a Life".
Michelle Forbes was incredible in both "Ensign Ro" and "Preemptive Strike", as well.

I actually like Lwaxana's scene in the holodeck where she is fascinated with the barman, because she cannot 'read' his emotions. Nothing like a little mystery to get the hormones going...

All of the scenes sited above were excellent.
The scene in "All Good Things..." where Picard joins the poker game did it for me! Throughout the series, Picard kept himself distant from the crew when he was "off duty" and, FINALLY, he decides to break down his personal barriers and join in! Deana's "You were always welcome" put a tear in this old codger's eye. THAT'S how you end a series!
