I just got a new job at Barnes & Noble, so now I get 30% off all books! Plus, I can check out any hardcover book for 2 weeks for free! Being an employee has its benefits.
So I'm thinking it's time to catch up on some Trek lit, which I haven't read for ages, for the most part.
Hit me! Which books are so wonderfully wonderful that I simply *must* pick them up?
Today on my lunch break I read some of what looks to be a very interesting book called "The Religions of Star Trek". I think I'm going to check it out tomorrow, since it's hardcover. But I'm also interested in buying some of the fiction. "A Stitch in Time" by Andrew J. Robinson has caught my eye, as has "I, Q" by John deLancie and Peter David. Anyone read either of those?

I've read "A Stitch in Time" and "I, Q". Stitch is just wonderful! It's been a long while since I've read it... it was a great book though.
I, Q was... odd. It was pretty good... but odd. John Delancie has some interesting ideas. Peter David cowrote it, so there's no way it could turn out bad.
I recommend Stitch first... but do read I, Q at some point.
Why did you pick these two to choose between reading?

^^^Dj, I was stocking the shelves and they stood out among the seriously goofy covers for the "Dark Passions" books Actually, I'm a huge Garak fan, so I thought "Stitch" would be a good choice for me, and back when I used to read Trek lit on a regular basis, I was a big Peter David fan. Anyway, come this Friday payday, I think I'll pick up "Stitch". Who better to write a Garak book than Garak?

Ana! I haven't seen you in forever! I'm sure you'll add some life to our quiet little forum! ;D
I really enjoyed I,Q, and I would agree that it is an odd book. If you're among the tiny percentage of fans that's considering Religions of Trek, then I'm sure you'll like I,Q. It has some very interesting religious overtones.
On a side note, I'm going to start The Ethics of Star Trek by Judith Barad this week while I'm off on a business trip.

I've read I,Q; different but definitely entertaining. I also highly recommend Immortal Coil by Jeffrey Lang.

^^^Dj, I was stocking the shelves and they stood out among the seriously goofy covers for the "Dark Passions" books How about seriously misleading covers for the "Dark Passions" books? I was looking forward to reading all about that tousled looking Beverly Crusher in the ripped red dress, and she was hardly in it - and she was pants!
