I kind of thought that Ezri was more suited to Julian than Jadzia was. But one of my friends thinks that their relationship was rushed for the last episode and that they didn't match. What do you guys think??
1) Do you think Ezri and Julian match? 2) Do you think Jadzia was beteer for Bashir??

I think that Julian and Ezri made a really good couple. Yeah, it may have been rushed a little, but I think that it made for a good send off. I agree that Julian and Jadzia never would have worked out. Jadzia was much better with Worf, so I like what they did there.

I think it's real sweet. Dax always had a sweet spot for Bashir, but I think Jadzia found him too young (Not age, but personality) He hadn't developed who HE was yet. She was also quite young, but had prepared and took on Dax very well.
Then Ezri came along and didn't know what to do with a symbiot. She was very young and fragile and think that the sweet spot for Bashir took over accept now he was older, wiser, and more confident.
Yes, I thought it was quite nice, (if not a little creepy)

Yeah, I pretty much agree with UT.
Ezri and Julian make a good couple...

Me too. In the beginning, Julian was "green." Ezri was a last-minute decision for the symbiont bond, so she was the greenhorn so Julian could relate. Jadzia probably saw Worf as a challenge and Julian too "eager" in the beginning.
Just because it seemed "rushed" to us, it doesn't mean that the match occured immediately in terms of the show. Ezri & Worf came to terms with Jadzia's death and understood that symbiont/trill bondings aren't necessary "continuations" so much as "new beginnings." She may still be Dax, but she's also Ezri.

My feelings on Ezri/Julian can be summed up as "ehhh". I didn't *dislike* them as a couple, but at the same time they didn't really move me. I never thought Julian was a good match for Jadzia, and I really don't feel I knew Ezri long enough to have much of an opinion on how well she matched with Julian.

Just because it seemed "rushed" to us, it doesn't mean that the match occured immediately in terms of the show. Yeah, that's true, but the fans should be important too. Like with Chakotay/Seven, they rushed that to the fans, maybe not on the show, but to us it happened practically all at once. What did the fans think? Most of us didn't like it. In the fictional world it could have been brewing for years, but we didn't get to see it until it actually happened. They should consider the fans, the time-frame for the fans, whatever when writing. It'd be like, all of a sudden the Jem'Hadar show up and we have a war, without giving much introduction to the Jem'Hadar. The reason they and the war were so succesful(awesome storylines...alot of fans liking it) was because they had time and they worked it out, they built up on it. On a smaller scale, it's that way with a romance. If all of a sudden we see them making out in the turbolift from nowhere it sort of ruins the point. The DS9 finale was mostly liked by Trek fans, while the Voyager one was mostly despised. Look, the DS9 had been brewing for.....really since about the third season, but mainly the whole last season. Voyager, out of nowhere we see the future Janeway....not much of a storyline in previous episodes. In fact, they left out alot....the time cops for example...where were they? Okay, enough blabbering...most of that was way off topic anyhow. I seem to do that quite often...oh well.

I never did like the idea of the temporal police. Well, I think DS9 handled them better than Voyager, but they shouldn't turn up every time there's a time travel episode. In fact, I'd be perfectly happy if they never show up in any Trek series again.

Like with Chakotay/Seven, they rushed that to the fans Ahem. Do not mention that. I have not seen it, and I am already angry... But, AI I liked the 29th C federation, if not the comm badges. Admittedly they were used a little too much.. But the Relativity is cool...
