Thram was packing his things into his bags. The sooner he could get out of here, the better. He wasn't into long good-byes. He was going to regret leaving. He didn't know why he felt this way, he'd only been on the Archer for a short time.
Thram picked up the Mangorian dagger that Zack had inquired about earlier in the day. He studied it intently. He thought of the Mangorian general who had given it to him. And the advice that was sometimes hard to follow. Orders be d**ned, you have to do what you know in your heart of hearts to be the right thing. How many times did Thram ignore that piece of advice? Once? Twice? Two hundred times? If Thram had served in the Andorian Home Guard instead of Starfleet, it wouldn't even be an issue. There was no doubt, Starfleet had changed him.
He almost didn't hear the door chime sound. It sounded a second time before he was able to call for the visitor to enter. The door slid open to reveal Ensign Golko. She walked into his quarters confidently, something that few young officers would have done.
"Ensign, is there something that I can do for you?"
"I've been made the acting head of security until Jeffreys can name someone else." Golko said flatly.
"Congratulations."
"I'm not the right person for it. Lt. D'Aaron is much better suited."
"Perhaps, but Lt. D'Aaron is Intelligence, not security."
Thram could tell that Golko was holding something back, something that she was hesitant to say, despite her apparent outward confidence. "What else is on your mind, Tammy?"
Golko bit her lip before responding. "I was wondering, since you're no longer my superior officer, if you'd be interested in going to the Nitza concert with me."
For the first time that Thram could remember, he was taken off guard. He usually prided himself in being ready for any contingency, but he didn't expect this.
"I would be honored to attend the concert with you," Thram said after a few seconds of thought. After all, he thought, he didn't want to miss the concert, and he could put off his departure until then at any rate.
Golko smiled. Success, she thought.
[Jeffreys to Ensign Golko]
A worried expression came over Golko's face. She wondered briefly why the captain would be calling her. Then she remembered that she was temporarily in charge of security. She tapped her comm badge. "Golko here."
[Report to the observation lounge. We have a situation.]
Thram smiled when he saw Golko's worried expression return. "Don't worry. You'll do fine."

"Everyone," Jefferys said to his crew. "We may have an issue. It's become apparent to the doctor that there was some more foul play involved in the attract on Alia and Stirok. He theorizes that the result was planned."
Surged with emotion, Alia stood up ready to scream something when suddenly a complete calm came over her. "Interested hypothesis," she said as she sat down.
"Indeed," Nitza added sarcastically.
"Don't take this to lightly," the doctor added. "Someone may have WANTED you in Stirok's body."
"But who could do that?" Ensign Golko said.
"Better question. Who would want to?" Commander Zack responded.
"After considering all the facts, I think it's best that we cancel the concert until we have more information," Jefferys added.
"NO" Nitza screamed. "I will NOT be treated like this. I know who things work and you have no right to stop me!"
"Excuse me?" Alia questioned. "That's not your body. It belongs to someone else and he'd like it back."
Nitza stood up. "And who's going to make me? You? There's no one on board with enough strength to rip my mind out of this body. Only a few Vulcan's have the power to do that and they would NEVER violate a mind like that." She then stormed out of the room.
A few of the senior officers began to get up as if to stop her but Gavin motioned them to sit back down. "Don't worry," he said after she left. "We've got a comm badge on her. She can't hide."
"Unless," Golko added, "She takes it off."
"And that," Johanssen added, "is why I installed a tracking tag in her, well Stirok's, shoulder."
"Right now," Alia said, "I would be a good idea to find a way to return Stirok's consciousness BACK into the body, and Nitza back into this one."

"With all due respect, Alia", Johansson told Alia, "I think it will have to wait. I do know you are anxious to get Stirok back into his own body, but with Nitza alone on the ship and we know someone is out to get her. Oh, and that reminds me, Alia... your father contacted me back. He's what drove me to my conclusion about the attack on you and Stirok being planned. You'll have to thank him for me when you talk to him next."
Golko thought this was the perfect time to speak up. "Captain, If Johansson thinks someone is out to get Nitza Kenek and that she is out there on her own, I think it would be a good idea for me to get a team out on all decks and keep them on alert for a possible intruder."
Jefferys nodded: "Well, what are you waiting for? Get on it, Ensign..."
"Yes, Yes Sir!" replied Golko with an air of encouragement. As Golko walked out of the lounge, everyone saw her tap his badge and call out her team.
"Well, This is definitely a situation." Jefferys looked at Johansson as he said that. "Any idea what we do next?
"You're the Captain, Gavin, you call the shots." Johansson chuckled. "Well then, I wonder if Captain Shelby knows something we don't. Time to find out. Alright! Everybody out! We have a job to do.
Everyone nodded and as they were leaving, Alia caught up to Johansson. "Doc, I hate being logical. If this were stirok speaking, he wouldn't have "hate' and logic" in the same sentence. But what we need to do now is logical. I need to get him out of me now!"
Johansson stopped walking and turned to look at Alia and they both stood there while Johansson took grab of her arms and shook her. "Ensign, please... get a hold of yourself! We're doing what we can. Nitza is loose on the ship and we need to get ahold of her and capture the miscreants before we can proceed with the mind meld." He stopped shaking her and then said with a smile. "Well, I suppose it would go faster if you would help. Feel like being the doctor's assistant for a day? I'm sure Candy won't mind. She's been at it for too long."
Alia smiled. "Yes" and they both resumed their walk towards the turbolift.

It had been 2 days since the last time Jefferys contacted Shelby. "The day of the concert that wasn't going to happen", he thought to himself silently.
"Hail the Enterprise", he told his crew. "Aye Aye", a voice responded.
The picture of a quite battle scarred enterprise came into view, shortly with the face of Shelby who looked pretty bruised up. Each captain waited until the other spoke, but it didn't happen, so Jefferys broke the silence. "Captain Shelby, are you alright?
She moaned a bit before speaking. "I'm.... fine, Captain."
"You don't look like it. What the devil is going on here?" Jefferys had just remembered Shelby had mentioned a Ferengi deal gone bad the time before. "We offer assistance if you need it. We'll send medical technicians over -"
Suddenly a loud twack was heard, and Shelby disappeared from view only to be replaced by the face of a Ferengi. "Saluations, Hu-mahn!"
"Oh no!", everyone thought to themselves. This is what Shelby had meant as a Ferengi deal gone bad. Everyone knew that trying to trick a Ferengi and having them figure that out was just about the worst thing that could happen to a Starship Captain, aside from being assimilated into the borg collective of course. At that moment, Jefferys knew that Shelby tried to trick them but that they had found out and the plan they had, had backfired. Everyone was shocked by seeing Ferengi on the Enterprise.
"We need none of your assistance. Lower your shields and prepare to be boarded."

Oblivious to the Ferengi trouble on the Bridge, Johansson and Alia stood in Sickbay, looking at a monitor.
"She's in her quarters," Johansson said, his voice tinged with surprise. "Not a very good hiding place."
"I doubt she's hiding," Alia said. "She may be difficult and obnoxious, but she's not stupid. How are you supposed to hide on a starship?"
"Maybe you should go talk to her?" Johansson offered. "I know she's glad to have her existence back, but this whole thing must be as traumatically jarring as it is for you. And now we all know someone out there wants something from her."
Alia shook her head. "Doc, I doubt I'll have much luck. I didn't have any last time I tried to talk to her. I had to excuse myself before it turned into an argument. And now that her little concert's been cancelled... well, I don't think I'll have an easier time trying to reason with her."
Johansson was perplexed. Before all of this had happened, Alia Kenek had always projected the appearance of inner calm. His Betazoid perception had even confirmed thus.
"To tell you the truth, Doc," Alia said, leaning against a biobed, "I think you'd have much better luck trying to talk to her. You're a fan. She was always so nice to her fans."
"Maybe so, Alia," Johansson said thoughtfully. "But this is a personal matter, I don't think I'm the right person for the job. There's only one person on this ship qualified."
Kenek made a face, still trying to get out of this confrontation. "You're right, Counselor Tae should talk to her. That's her job, isn't it?"
Johansson gave Alia a knowing look. "You know that's not what I meant, Ensign."
Alia sighed. "You're right, Doc." She walked to the door and turned around. "Well, here goes nothing."
Alia left Sickbay and stepped into a turbolift. She reached the quarters and sounded Nitza's doorchime.
"I'm busy!" Nitza angrily replied.
Alia folded her arms. She didn't have the patience for this.
"Computer, unlock the door."
