So tell me...what's your favorite Voyager episode? And what is it about that episode that makes it stand out in your mind?
Don't all answer at once now... ;D

Scorpion I and II Species 8472.. lots of Borg
Felt like a new "tougher" Voyager. Had me on the edge of my seat.

Hmm... I have to think about this... There were certainly some very good episodes, and it's difficult to pick a favourite... I would have to say that "Year of Hell" and "The Killing Game" rate quite highly.... "Worst Case Scenario", "Relativity", and "Time and Again" [That's the one with the planet that destroys itself, and the Voyager crew fall into the temporal fractures, no?] are also very entertaining episodes...
There are others, of course, but those are all I can think of off the top of my head.

Year of Hell is also a good episode. now why did I not think of that one. It has a catchy title and all..
I really like the 2-parters. Sofar all of them has been good, and have made me wait in anticipation for the following episodes..

If I had to pick just one story to take with me to a desert island for the rest of my life,
I guess it would be Caretaker.
It's a good story and everyone gets involved.
Yeah, I could watch that over and again for the rest of my life.

Relativity does it for me, It makes you wonder whether Janeway new she was going to liberate 7 from the beggining, thats what twisted my heart strings.

I have a confession to make... I have never seen "caretaker".. To be perfectly honest, I think that I have only seen it once or twice. Back in 1995...

Oy, it is really hard picking out favorites from such a good show. Who dares to be the hethen that starts "Which one was the worst episode?

My favorite Voyager ep has to be Lineage. I know it wasn't a big special effects extravaganza or it wasn't action packed, but it had everything i look for in a good character centic episode. I really liked the way it delved into B'elanna's past and fleshed out her character. I think this ep should have come a litte earlier in the shows run. It finally explains quite a lot about Torres and her motivations - everything that makes her tick.
Plus it also dealt with issues relevant in today's society such as genetic enhancements and how it feels to be a part of two different cultures/backgrounds.

Thanks for all your replies...and the stroll down memory lane.
It was much easier to choose my least favorite episode, I suppose because (in my opinion) there were so few poor episodes to choose from. The runners-up for my favorites would have to be Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy and the Equinox two-parter. I loved TTDS for the sheer comic value of it; I've seen the opening scene a hundred times and it still leaves me in stitches every time. Equinox was a great commentary on what happens when we take the first step down the dark path.
My overall favorite is Tuvix. What an incredibly complicated episode, built around an incredibly complex problem! Rarely do screen-writers today explore an issue where someone must truly choose between two evils. Here it was done with honesty and aplomb, and without any sugar-coating.
I have a list of about twenty-five other "favorite" episodes, but these rank at the top...the cream of the crop.
